As the site of our next work gets cleaned up, an intricate story emerges about water and use; terroir and modest production. The past is not past. We are learning from and admiring the quiet perfection.

With Madame Saké in Burgundy, a 3-hour façade éphémère, entirely in paper, is the first in a series of projects on the relationship between saké and wine, and their temporality. Our project for the small and intimate Musée du Cristal opens today across from Baccarat's manufactory. Light is a muse of crystal, revealing its richest qualities as a material at once transparent and massive. We worked with a restrained but warm, honest palette in which each material could be in open dialogue with one another, and a historical reading of each piece could also leave room for an appreciation of its craft in a contemporary context.
The transparent, naturally lit enfilade of rooms is a flexible exhibition space containing up to 300 works from the archive's collection, which will be rotated regularly.

Works in progress on a house within a breath of the Atlantic. A land of storks and small scavengers benefiting from the fertile ecology marrying sea and farm. Seasonally, the adjacent rice fields are flooded and burned.
Sand, wind, sun and shadow will soon take over the gardens, filling in-between places, scorching walls, and dressing patios.
